A short flight over the border from Kenya into Tanzania where you will stay on a working coffee plantation in Arusha.

Translocate to the iconic Ngorongoro crater known for its African big five viewing opportunities in a tranquil environment, the park features a lake fringed with pink flamingos and hippos along the shallows. From Ngorongoro, continue to the Serengeti endless plains that are dotted with herds of wildebeest and zebra. Finally fly to Kilimanjaro International Airport to end your safari.

Detailed Safari Itinerary of 14 Days Tanzania Kenya Wildlife Safari Tour

Day 1: Transfer to Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, Laikipia Plateau, Kenya View Lodge

Fly from Nairobi at Wilson Airport to Lewa. Upon arrival at the bush airstrip, you will meet our guide and drive you to the safari lodge, where you will stay for the next 3 nights. Relish in a short game drive along the way to the lodge as you look out for Grevy’s zebra and reticulated giraffe.

Day 2-3: Search for Rhinos and Other Endangered Animals

Stay at Lewa for the next two days of your Kenya wildlife safari sightseeing the Lewa region, which is a famous home for the very rare black rhinos in Kenya. Much of the profits raised from the Lewa conservancy is used to develop local community and conservation projects. Explore the conservancy in open safari vehicles to see the myriad of wildlife species that call this area their haven. Look at baby rhinos hiding under their mother’s belly. Search for lions being chased by angry buffalo and hiding up a tree to try to escape after a failed hunting attempt.

Meet animals from a different angel of the area on your guided walk with an expert guide. You have higher chances to see about 350 species of birds, that exists in the region. Lewa is a mesmerizing, game rich area ever exciting and with well-informed local guides that will help you to find all the action, it lends to a superb safari start.

Day 4:  Depart to Masai Mara National Reserve

Enjoy breakfast, enjoy game drive along the way to the airstrip for a scheduled flight to the Masai Mara. The sightseeing in the flight offers a great opportunity to take in the scope of the scenery of Kenya. Enjoy some of the best wildlife views in Africa on your way to the camp, search for Topi that usually stand proudly on top of an anthill. Look out for cheetahs hiding in the golden green savannas, waiting to hunt any passing game.

Relax at the lodge, offering great views of the river right from the comfort of your balcony and look at a variety of mammals coming down to quench their thirst. Undertake a game drive in the afternoon with your guide and experience the beauty of the Masai Mara. Retreat back to camp at the time of sunset to savor some pre-dinner drinks and canapés while encircling the fire.

Day 5-6: Explore the Topi’s, Lions and Maasai

Masai Mara is a huge land of open plains marked with canopy Acacia trees. Meander the Mara reserve in a safari vehicle driven by an expert, knowledgeable and experienced guide who well knows the area.

Understand much about the mesmerizing termites, who inhabits the tower across the plains. Smell the unique sample of the African plants as you learn about their healing properties that the Maasai people apply for healing today.

On your game drives, look at herds of Elephants, graceful Giraffes and plains game. See the leopards flagging in a tree while the cheetahs and lions determined on a kill. The Masai Mara can be visited all year round for exceptional game viewing.

It is famous for its large focusses of big cats and plenty of resident wildlife and not forgetting the enigmatic Maasai people themselves.

Day 7:  Transfer to Arusha, Tanzania

On this morning, cross the border into Tanzania with a short game drive en route to the airstrip, first fly back to Wilson Airport and board a connecting flight to Kilimanjaro International Airport. Where you will be driven to Arusha.  spend a night on a working coffee plantation. You have chance to take a guided coffee tour and learn how coffee is grown, harvested, dried and produced.

Day 8: In the morning, transfer to Ngorongoro Crater

Enjoy a short drive to the Arusha Airport after morning breakfast for a flight to Manyara Airstrip. From Lake Manyara, take a leisurely drive to the Ngorongoro crater rim.

If you still have stamina, there is an opportunity of exploring the massive grounds of the area on horseback (at an extra cost). Or, romantics can engage in a candlelit bubble bath with sparkling wine and a cheese platter (at extra cost).

Day 7: Transfer to Serengeti National Park

Enjoy morning game drive with your local guide to help decode the dramas that happened out in the night before enjoying breakfast. Drive to the airstrip and board a regional flight to the Kenyan Tanzanian border. From here, enjoy a short scenic drive crossing the border into Tanzania where you will take a flight into the endless plains of Serengeti. A guide will meet you at the airstrip and to transfer you to the camp. The location camp is determined by the migration’s movement, so as you don’t miss any of the action.

Day 9-10: Explore Nyiragongo Volcanic Craters and Lakes

Enjoy early morning breakfast and take a 45minutes drive to the crater gate. Descent for game viewing at the floor of the crater. The crater floor is a home to over 25,000 animals. This unique ecosystem features savannah plains and acacia forests where different animal species can be encountered including the Africa Big Five namely; lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes and rhinos. Return back to the lodge to relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 11: Transfer to Serengeti National Park, Tanzania

Use this morning chance to view the scenic road back down from Ngorongoro conservation area, while your driven down to Lake Manyara airstrip, for a short flight to the Serengeti. look down at the vast game filled plains while your soaring above in a plane. A guide will pick you at the airstrip in Serengeti and drive you to the camp, perched atop a kopje, affording incredible scenery across the Serengeti plains. Spend some time here to discover the beauty of the Serengeti over the next two full days.

Day 12-13: Wildebeest Migration and Open Plains of Serengeti National Park

Depart at 6:30 for game drive in search for wildlife in the central plains (morning game drives are the most rewarding because animals usually be active in the morning). We shall drive to the center of the park to explore wildlife in the endless rolling plains. Proceed to Seronera area which is among the richest wildlife habitats in the park. The area features Seronera River where most animals of different species and birds quench their thirst.

Day 14: Kilimanjaro, Tanzania

On the last day of your safari, have breakfast and be driven to the airport for a flight to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward journey arrangements.
