Detailed Safari Itinerary of the 13 Days Kenya Tanzania Wildlife Safari

Day 1 of the 13 Days Kenya Tanzania Wildlife Safari: Arrive in Kenya – Jomo Kenyatta International Airport & transfer to the hotel 

Meet and greet at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport by our driver guide. After a brief introduction transfer to the hotel

Accommodation: Crowne Plaza Hotel

Day 2 of the 13 Days Kenya Tanzania Wildlife Safari:  Morning at leisure, Lunch at Carnivore restaurant – game meat & barbeque, visit Giraffe Centre & Sheldrick orphanage at 5pm for fostering.

Breakfast and spend the early morning at leisure. At noon depart for Carnivore restaurant to experience game meat and barbecue meat. Then visit the Giraffe center where you will have a chance to feed the giraffes. Visit to elephant sheldrick orphanage will be organized at 5 PM

Day 3 of the 13 Days Kenya Tanzania Wildlife Safari:   Nairobi – Ol Pajeta

Morning breakfast and depart for Ol Pajeta private conservancy. Enjoy a leisurely drive as you pass via the tea, coffee, sisal and pineapple plantation arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon visit the Chimpanzees sanctuary. Game drives in search of the wildlife.

Day 4 of the 10 Days Kenya Tanzania Wildlife Safari: Game drive in Tarangire National Park & transfer to Karatu

Morning breakfast and depart with picnic lunch for half day game drives in Tarangire. Explore the vast park. At noon depart for Ngorongoro Conservation area. Arrive in Karatu for relaxation, dinner and overnight

Day 4 of the 13 Days Kenya Tanzania Wildlife Safari: Mount Kenya – Nanyuki Airstrip – Maasai Mara

After morning breakfast transfer to Nanyuki airstrip for your scheduled flight to Maasai Mara (1030 – 1130 hrs). Arrive in Maasai Mara where our guide will have been waiting for your arrival and transfer to the tented camp for hot lunch. Afternoon game drives in search of the wildlife

Day 5 & 6 of the 13 Days Kenya Tanzania Wildlife Safari:  Explore Maasai Mara National Reserve

Wake up very early in the morning at 4 am on Day 5 and transfer to balloon launching site. You will have 1hr balloon ride and Champaign breakfast upon landing. After a sumptuous breakfast proceed with your game drives.

On Day 6, Morning breakfast and depart with picnic lunch for a full day game drives to the Mara River where hippos and crocodiles reside

Maasai mara is a vast area of grassy plains converging by the meandering Mara river. It is an African Gem and an area rich in culture, tradition, beauty and home to the big five.

It is here that one of the most spectacular phenomena of natural world take place – The great annual wildebeests migration, an occurrence that has been named as one of the seven wonders of the world by a jury of experts polled by ABC TV of the USA.

The great migration involves an estimated 1.3 million wildebeests, 200,000 zebras and a multitude of gazelles escorted by a good number of carnivores.

You might witness this part of the action which takes place between July and October.

Day 7 of the 13 Days Kenya Tanzania Wildlife Safari:  Maasai Mara – naboisho Private Conservancy

Morning breakfast and depart for a final game drives as you head to the Naboisho conservancy. The lodge vehicle will pick you up at the gate and proceed to Encounter Mara for lunch.

Afternoon game drives.

Day 8 of the 13 Days Kenya Tanzania Wildlife Safari:   Naboisho Conservancy – Isebania – Serengeti North

After breakfast depart at 0700 hrs with picnic lunch for Isebania (Kenya-Tanzania Border)

Clear with immigration officials, change of vehicles and proceed to Serengeti National Park. Game drives en route to the lodge.

Day 9 of the 13 Days Kenya Tanzania Wildlife Safari: Serengeti North – Serengeti Central

Morning breakfast and depart with picnic lunch for a full day game drive. Late afternoon, depart the Northern side and head to the central part of Serengeti.

Day 10 of the 13 Days Kenya Tanzania Wildlife Safari:  Central Serengeti

Full day game drives. Serengeti covers an area of 14,763 sq km and is a contiguous of the Masai Mara Game Reserve in Kenya. Serengeti is the largest National Park in Tanzania and also the most famous National Park in Tanzania. It’s most famous because of the annual migration of wildebeest’s herds in search of better grazing. Serengeti is also famous for its lions, cheetahs, large herds of Zebras, herds of giraffes, Thomson’s and Grant’s gazelles, elands, impalas, warthogs, and also rich in bird life

Day 11 of the 13 Days Kenya Tanzania Wildlife Safari:   Final game drive in Serengeti NP & transfer to Ngorongoro

After breakfast depart with picnic lunch for a Half day game drives to the vast plains of Serengeti. Early Afternoon depart for Ngorongoro Conservation area.

Accommodation: Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge.

Day 12 of the 13 Days Kenya Tanzania Wildlife Safari:    Ngorongoro Crater Exploration & transfer to Arusha

After breakfast depart with picnic lunch for a half day crater tour. Descend down the crater rim.

The Ngorongoro Crater is just one part of a larger area of interrelated ecosystems consisting of the crater highlands (to which the Ngorongoro Crater belongs) together with larger stretches of plains bush and woodland. Ngorongoro conservation area covers an area of about 8300 sq km. Near its Centre is the Olduvai Gorge where many fossils have been earthed. Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa’s best-known wildlife – viewing areas.  The crater is about 20kms wide and it is one of the largest calderas in the world. Within its walls is a variety of animals and vegetation,
including grasslands, swamps, forests, salt pans, a fresh water lake and rich wildlife. The wildlife found includes lions, elephants, buffaloes, wildebeests, Thomson’s gazelles, zebra reed bucks.

Picnic lunch will be served at the picnic site. Afternoon ascend the crater and drive to Arusha.
